Charles Lewington is a founder investor is digital media companies and consultancies with a clear proposition and strong management teams. He is the founder and remains Chairman of Hanover Communications, one of the largest corporate communications and public affairs agencies in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Hanover became part of the Montreal-based AVENIR Global stable of agencies in 2018. Charles began his life in political journalism and was appointed Press Secretary to John Major in 1995 before sharing his strategic advisory expertise into the boardrooms of FTSE 100 and S&P 500 companies for over 25 years.  He is passionate about supporting young talent, either in journalism, niche consultancy, sustainability campaigning or classical musicianship. He is Chairman of Chromatica Orchestra which promotes the early careers of young conductors. Charles is the Honorary Vice President of the PRCA and received a SABRE Individual Achievement Award in 2023 for his outstanding and lasting impact on the public relations and communications industry. He was awarded an OBE in 1997.
