Matt is a public affairs specialist with a strong background in environmental policy and political engagement.  Matt joined Seahorse from Wildlife and Countryside Link, where he led policy and advocacy coordination across the environmental sector—focusing particularly on marine protection and plastics policy.

Matt has played a central role in shaping sector-wide positions on issues such as Highly Protected Marine Areas, blue carbon, and Deposit Return Schemes, leading on engagement with civil servants and parliamentarians.

Prior to this, Matt spent four years in Parliament working for a frontbench MP, supporting a shadow environment minister with a portfolio that included the marine environment.

He holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford, and an MSc in International Social Change and Policy.
